Education

The IFAPP Education Working Group pursues the following objectives:

  • Maintain awareness on the ongoing IFAPP contributions to advancing Pharmaceutical Medicine as a discipline and a profession, and the need for competence in pharmaceutical medicine/medicines development
  • Develop professional worldwide certification process in Medical Affairs and Clinical Development
  • Expand the educational initiatives in clinical research and pharmaceutical medicine to developing countries in Africa and elsewhere
  • Develop a strategic collaboration with scientific journals to discussing the growing complexity and changing environment of global medicines development, from discovery to lifecycle management, and foster critical position papers on the discipline and profession. A collaborative model is being considered with “Frontiers in Pharmaceutical Medicine and Outcomes Research” (impact factor 4.4)
  • Foster cooperation with the NMAs to develop educational programs and conferences in Medicines Development and Pharmaceutical Medicine.
