Patients with life-threatening or rare diseases and patients living in research-poor countries are interested in joining a clinical trial in another country because that might be the only remaining treatment option. And investigators would reduce their recruitment struggles if they could enrol patients from other countries. But in reality, such participation is very difficult to enable and therefore hardly happens.

In this webinar the needs, the financial, ethical, regulatory and organisational hurdles, best practice examples and a European initiative aiming at facilitating such participation in practical terms will be presented and discussed with the audience.
