The International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Pharmaceutical Medicine, IFAPP, since 1975
IFAPP has ever after grown steadily in size and scope. Its primary objective was to bring together physicians and scientists from the pharmaceutical industry with those working in research institutes and academic medicine and internationalise the advancement of knowledge in medicines development and pharmaceutical medicine. The increasingly important role of pharmaceutical physicians and other professionals involved in drug development process has been firmly established through numerous conferences, meetings and other events organised on the world wide level.
Currently, 22 National Member Associations (NMAs) represent the interests and goals of several thousand professionals active in Pharmaceutical Medicine
Pharmaceutical Medicine is the medical scientific discipline concerned with the discovery, development, evaluation, registration, monitoring and medical aspects of marketing of medicines for the benefit of patients and public health.
