The Mission of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Pharmaceutical Medicine (IFAPP) is to promote Pharmaceutical Medicine by enhancing the knowledge, expertise and skills of pharmaceutical physicians and other professionals involved in all scientific disciplines with regard to the discovery, development, research and use of medicines worldwide, thus leading to the availability and appropriate use of medicines for the benefit of patients and the society.
IFAPP’s activities are planned not only on an annual basis but spanning through mid- and long-term objectives to ensure a successful accomplishment of the tasks proposed to and agreed by the House of Delegates (HoD).
The tasks are discussed, and action is made by each of six Working Groups:
1) Ethics and Professionalism
2) External Affairs
3) Competencies and Education
4) Communication
5) Certification
6) Council of Past Presidents.
As for the period of 2019/2020, we will work towards the strategic goals as follows:
Each Working Group consists of dedicated individual IFAPP members from the National Member Associations with close communication to the Board of Officers and the House of Delegates. We continue to encourage active participation from our National Member Associations and Individual Affiliates so that we can provide expected deliverables and contribute to promote Pharmaceutical Medicine throughout the world.
